The NUL-222 NeuLog Blood Pressure Sensor is designed to measure the pressure within a cuff wrapped around the arm of the person being tested. Recognising that heartbeats influence blood pressure, the sensor accounts for the disparity between systolic and diastolic pressures in the individual being tested.
Featuring three ranges, including the average pressure in the air pillow in mm Hg, the pressure beats in arbitrary units, and the sum of the two signals to enhance sensitivity for necessary calculations, this sensor proves invaluable in Exercise Science, Biology, Physiology, Human Health, and more.
Operating based on the piezoresistive effect, the sensor is pre-calibrated at the factory, ensuring accurate measurements. The package includes a blood pressure cuff directly attached to the sensor via flexible rubber tubing, along with a pump featuring a pressure release valve connected directly to the blood pressure cuff.
The NeuLog software extracts essential data from the blood pressure graph, including systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP), and heart rate. With an experiment duration spanning from 1 second to 31 days, this sensor serves as a comprehensive tool for a wide range of scientific investigations.
