This Zinc Carbonate Basic is a high-purity laboratory reagent in a 500g plastic container. Chemically identified as [ZnCO3]2 · [Zn(OH)2]3 with a molecular weight of 548.89 g/mol, this white powder is odourless, non-combustible, and insoluble in water.

It decomposes to zinc oxide upon melting and has a specific gravity of 3.5 with a pH of 9.5 in a 50 g/l solution at 20 °C. The compound is soluble in dilute acids, alkalis, and ammonium salt solutions.
