Westlab’s Smart Micro Centrifuge offers an ultra-quiet performance and maintenance-free longevity with its brushless DC motor. The unit is microprocessor controlled for efficient performance even under high loads.

The closed-loop control ensures real-time feedback and delivers an accuracy of ± 25 RPM of set speed even under variable load conditions. Additionally, the 8-position closed rotor creates an enhanced airflow design so that the temperature inside the chamber will always remain in control.

For the operator’s safety, the centrifuge includes an electric safety brake for the immediate stopping of the unit when required. Additionally, a lid lock safety feature ensures that the lid of the unit cannot be opened while the rotor is still running.

Ideal for microfiltration, cell separations, centrifugal tube sedimentation, and spin-down applications. This centrifuge is used in laboratories to separate particles from suspension or even macromolecules from solutions according to their density. The different biological substances that are usually separated by centrifugation are microbial cells, organelles, proteins, DNA, and RNA.
