In contrast, black plates are designed to reduce light scattering and cross-talk, ensuring optimal performance in fluorescence assays.

Surface Binding Options

SPL offers two types of surface modifications to accommodate different experimental needs.

The Maxibinding surface, made from modified polystyrene, provides a higher binding capacity for proteins and other molecules with both hydrophilic and hydrophobic regions, making it ideal for most ELISA experiments.

The Unibinding surface is designed for the adsorption of hydrophobic molecules, such as antigens in ELISA applications.

Designed for Convenience & Automation

These plates come with individual lids to protect samples, with black plates supplied with black lids and white plates with transparent lids. They feature a flat bottom for stable positioning, raised rims on each well to minimise cross-contamination, and alphanumeric labelling for easy sample identification.

Additionally, they are compatible with high-throughput screening (HTS) systems and designed for seamless integration with automated laboratory workflows.
