3M™ Petrifilm™ Salmonella Express Plates, Pack of 50

Petrifilm® Salmonella Express (SALX) System is used for the rapid qualitative detection and biochemical confirmation of Salmonella species in enriched food and food process environmental samples.

The Petrifilm SALX Plate is a sample ready-to-use chromogenic culture medium system that contains a cold-water-soluble gelling agent and is selective and differential for Salmonella, providing a presumptive result. The Petrifilm SALX Confirmation Disk contains a biochemical substrate that facilitates the biochemical confirmation of Salmonella organisms. The Petrifilm SALX Plate is used with or without the Petrifilm SALX Confirmation Disc.

• The plate offers presumptive positive results for Salmonella spp. in just 40 hours for processed foods and 48 hours for unprocessed foods.
• Plates are sample-ready, eliminating all the time-consuming steps of preparing media/agar dishes.
• Only one enrichment for low-background, processed foods.
• The colour card is used to help match the colour of the isolated colonies on the plate to a presumptive positive Salmonella colony colour or non-Salmonella colony colour.
• 18 Months Shelf Life from Manufacture Date.
