SPLInsert™ products are designed to closely mimic the in vivo environment, promoting enhanced attachment, growth, and differentiation of various cell types.

Their permeable properties make them effective and convenient tools for a range of research areas, including transportation and invasion studies.

Membrane Specifications

They feature track-etched membranes in 0.4, 3.0, and 8.0μm pore sizes, ensuring precise pore distribution and density for consistent experimental control.

Material Options

The membranes are available in two materials:

• Polycarbonate (PC): Offers stain-free and low background interference.
• Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET): Offers high chemical resistance and low protein binding properties.

Applicable Experiments

They are ideal for experiments such as invasion, migration, drug uptake, chemotaxis, co-culture, toxicity studies, and in vivo barrier modeling.

Design Specifications

The distance from the membrane to the bottom of the well varies by insert size, with the 6-well and 12-well inserts measuring 1.2mm, and the 24-well insert measuring 1.3mm.

The membrane thickness ranges from 10–23μm, and the frame is made of polystyrene (PS). These inserts are packed in cell culture-treated plates for optimal performance.
