It may explode when exposed to heat, mechanical shock or friction or can cause explosions with combustible or flammable materials or powdered metals. It has a potentially explosive reaction with charcoal + ozone, arsenic, carbon, phosphorus, sulfur, alkali metal hydrides, alkaline earth metal hydrides, antimony sulfide, arsenic sulfide, copper sulfide, tin sulfide, metal cyanides, metal thiocyanates, manganese dioxide, sulfides, cyanides, and hydrides.
