MILWAUKEE Refractometer, Digital, for Wine & Grape Juice

This Digital Refractometer for Wine & Grape Juice is an optical instrument that uses refractive index measurement to determine the sugar content expressed as % Brix in grape juice and wine samples.

Designed for simple and quick operation, the instrument requires only a single-point calibration with deionised or distilled water. Within seconds, it measures the refractive index and converts it to % Brix concentration units using internationally recognised references from the ICUMSA Methods Book.

Measurement Methodology

This refractometer employs automatic temperature compensation and follows internationally accepted methods for sugar analysis. Temperature is displayed simultaneously in °C or °F on a large dual-level LCD, along with icons indicating low battery and other helpful message codes.

Design & Usability

With easy two-button operation and a rapid response time of approximately 1.5 seconds, this instrument delivers fast and precise results. Only 2–3 drops of sample are required. The sealed flint glass prism and stainless steel sample well are easy to clean, while the IP65-rated waterproof enclosure ensures durability and suitability for field use. The unit also features automatic shut-off after three minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.

Supplied Components
