These Self-Sealing Sterilisation Pouches are designed as reliable packaging solutions for steam and ethylene oxide (EO) sterilisation processes. They are manufactured from high-quality medical-grade materials to support effective sterilant penetration and secure containment of instruments.

Suitable for use across healthcare, dental, laboratory, patient care and food industry environments, their self-sealing performance ensures consistent results without the need for a heat sealer.

Materials & Construction

Each pouch combines 60gsm medical-grade paper with a transparent polyester cast polypropylene plastic film, allowing clear visual inspection of contents while maintaining sterility.

The clear blue plastic layer supports easy identification, while the medical paper backing enables optimal steam or gas permeability. A high-tack acrylic adhesive tape, coated on polyester film, provides strong shear resistance and dependable temperature stability during sterilisation cycles.

Seal Integrity & Opening Design

These sterilisation pouches feature triple seals formed through a controlled triple-heated sealing process to deliver uniform strength and security.

A wide self-seal adhesive strip with a perforated fold ensures fast, secure closure, while corner tack seals and an integrated thumb notch support clean, controlled opening without compromising sterility.

Sterilisation Indicators & Performance

Integrated internal and external multi-parameter indicators are printed directly onto the pouch, confirming exposure to critical sterilisation parameters including time, temperature and sterilant contact.

For steam sterilisation, the indicator transitions from blue to black or brown, while EO sterilisation results in a colour change from pink to yellow or orange, providing clear visual verification of process completion.

Traceability & Identification

Each sterilisation pouch includes full traceability through a unique LOT number printed on both the indicator and packaging labels. The manufacturing date and expiry date are clearly stated, supporting compliance with quality assurance and regulatory requirements in clinical and laboratory settings.

Unused pouches are recommended for use within five years of manufacture, with best-before details listed on the carton.

Disposal & Usage Limitations

These flat self-seal sterilisation plastic pouches are single-use disposable products and must not be reused or resterilised. Disposal should be managed as general waste, in accordance with local and national regulations.

The product is not suitable for sterilisation by irradiation or by hot, dry air exceeding 140°C.
