At Westlab, we are constantly doing minor improvements to the online ordering system. However, sometime these changes might cause usability issues on some customers' web browsers.

If this is you then don't worry. I'll tell you how you can quickly fix it and regain access to your Westlab account.

"When I click the login button, I get redirected to the homepage"

Why is this happening?

The reason why you may be experiencing this and other similar issues is that web browsers store information about the websites you visit.

This is known as the browser's cache.

The browser cache is a temporary storage location on your computer for files downloaded by your browser to display websites. Files that are cached locally include any documents that make up a website, as well as graphic images and other multimedia content.

When you revisit a website, the web browser only downloads updated files or what is not already stored in the cache. This process allows the web page to load faster.

However, sometimes, cached versions of a website can cause issues, for example when the browser does not download a fresh copy, even though the site was updated since last caching it.

How to Fix it

The easier way to fix this is by clearing the browser cache stored in your computer, so you can load the latest version of Westlab's website.

To do this, press the key [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [Del] on your keyboard - A pop-up windows with checkboxes should appear on your screen.

Make sure that the highlighted fields in the examples below are the same in your pop up.

Lastly, click the "Clear Now", "Delete" or "Clear Data" button (depending on which web browser you are using) and refresh Westlab's website.

NOTE: Keep in mind that by clearing your web browser data, this action will automatically log you out for any other website or web-based platform you might be signed into, so make sure to save all your work beforehand.

You're done!
