This Qualitative Test Paper (MN816N) is a potassium iodide starch-based indicator paper used for the rapid detection of strong oxidising agents, such as free chlorine and nitrite. It is also suitable for monitoring diazotisation reactions, offering reliable performance in laboratory environments.

Detection Parameters & Colour Change

This qualitative test paper is designed to detect free chlorine and nitrite with detection limits of 1mg/L Cl₂ for chlorine and 1–2mg/L NO₂⁻ for nitrite. The colour change upon detection is white to blue-violet, enabling easy visual identification of oxidising agents.

Packaging & Shelf Life

The product is supplied as a refill pack containing three reels, each 5 metres in length and 7mm wide. It has a shelf life of two years from the date of production and should be stored between 4°C and 30°C to maintain effectiveness.
