Construction & Design

These cupboards are manufactured from fire-retardant UL 94 VT Polypropylene (PPS), including the hood body, workstation, and base cabinet. This material provides excellent resistance to highly corrosive acids, vapours, and aggressive chemicals, making it suitable for environments that demand both chemical durability and flame retardancy.

Double Sash Access & Workflow Efficiency

The double-sided sliding glass sashes offer access from both the front and rear, allowing two users to operate the cabinet simultaneously. This design is ideal for collaborative workflows, such as tandem sample preparation or handover between process stages. It supports directional processes, improving operational efficiency in shared laboratory environments.

The dual access configuration also improves visibility for teaching and demonstration purposes, allowing observers or supervisors to view the work zone clearly from either side. In addition, airflow is more evenly distributed across the work surface, enhancing containment performance and ensuring hazardous fumes are effectively captured and extracted.

Ventilation & Airflow

Designed to safely extract toxic fumes, vapours, and particulates, these units achieve an air velocity of 0.5 ± 0.1m/s (100 ± 20 FPM).

Air is drawn from both the top and back panels and channelled through a ducted system to an external fan installed on the roof or outer wall, facilitating effective fume removal and improving indoor air quality.

Control System & Interface

A 7-inch colour touch screen serves as the control centre for the cabinets, allowing management of internal lighting, fan operation, and power sockets.

The home screen provides real-time inflow velocity, temperature and humidity readings, and includes shortcut controls for key cabinet functions. A screen wiping mode is included for easy cleaning of the display.

Lighting & Ergonomics

These cabinets feature eco-efficient 800 lux LED lighting, positioned separately from the work area to eliminate interference with airflow. Tempered glass sliding sashes improve visibility and safety, while the ergonomic layout supports comfortable long-term operation.
