Our microcentrifuge tubes are manufactured from transparent polypropylene (PP), providing excellent chemical resistance and clarity for visual inspection. Designed with a conical bottom, these tubes are compatible with common centrifuge rotors, enabling near-universal usage in laboratory settings.

Cap Design

Each tube features a loop-snap cap made from polypropylene (PP), designed with a bevelled edge to allow for easier opening and closing. It is transparent, with no O-ring, ensuring a secure seal while maintaining user convenience during repeated use.

Volume & Markings

The working volume of each tube is 1.5ml, with moulded graduation lines for accurate measurement up to the maximum volume. Graduations are accurate to within ± 5%. A frosted marking strip is included on the tube surface for easy labelling and sample identification.

Sterilisation & Compatibility

These tubes are ETO sterilised and PCR clean, ensuring they are DNAse-free, RNAse-free, and non-pyrogenic. They are also autoclavable up to 121°C, offering flexibility in sterilisation methods and compatibility with a wide range of laboratory protocols.

Centrifugation Performance

Suitable for centrifugation at forces up to 20,000 x g, these tubes are engineered for high-performance applications and are fully compatible with our Smart Micro Centrifuge  (REF: 663-958), making them a reliable choice for routine and specialised laboratory procedures.
