Measuring Cylinders, CLASS B, Borosilicate, Hex Base & Bumper Guard

Westlab’s Class B measuring cylinders are made from borosilicate glass 3.3, available in sizes from 5ml to 1000ml. Featuring a hexagonal base for stability, cylinders from 10ml upwards include a bumper guard for added protection.

These graduated cylinders comply with ASTM E-438 Type I and ASTM E1272 standards and are individually sold with blue volume graduations for clear measurement.

Manufactured from high-quality borosilicate glass 3.3, the cylinders offer excellent chemical resistance and durability. The hexagonal base improves stability during use, while the bumper guard reduces the risk of breakage, especially for larger sizes. Dual metric graduations provide precise measurement capabilities suitable for various laboratory applications.

Quality Assurance

Each cylinder undergoes thorough quality assurance checks before dispatch. The glass is annealed in five conveyor furnaces to remove internal stresses, ensuring strength and longevity. Thickness testers verify that wall strength meets relevant standards for safety and performance. Optical clarity is inspected twice—once after manufacture and again before packaging—to guarantee clear and consistent glassware.

Printing & Compliance

Blue printed graduations provide easy readability and long-lasting markings. The cylinders conform to ASTM E-438 Type I and ASTM E1272 norms, assuring compatibility with laboratory standards and reliable performance in various chemical and educational settings.
