Conductivity 5 Sensor for 664-245, Each

Our Conductivity 5 Sensor is a replacement conductivity cell for the COND 5 pocket tester (REF: 664-245). 

Manufactured in Switzerland, this spare sensor is supplied individually for field meters and portable conductivity testers where a direct replacement cell is required. The sensor is intended for conductivity measurement and is also described as a replacement probe or spare electrode for the Cond 5 meter.

Compatibility & Warranty

This replacement sensor is specifically designed for use with the 664-245 COND 5 tester kit and is supplied as one unit per pack. The sensor carries a six-month warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. There is no defined shelf life for the sensor when stored correctly.

Replacement Procedure

To replace the electrode in the pocket meter:

1. Unscrew the outer dial by turning it counterclockwise.
2. Pull the old sensor from the meter body and insert the new cell, ensuring the locating dent is correctly aligned.
3. Check that all gaskets and seals are present and correctly positioned.
4. Then re-fit and tighten the dial securely to restore the meter to service.

Sensor Reactivation & Storage

After prolonged dry storage, recondition the probe by immersing it in storage solution (or pH 4 buffer) for at least 30 minutes to reactivate the sensing element. Between uses, rinse the sensor tip with distilled water and store the sensor dry in its protective cap or packaging to preserve performance.

Cleaning & Handling Guidance

For routine cleaning, rinse only with distilled water - do not use paper, metal tools or abrasive materials on the sensing face. If contaminants are suspected, briefly dip the tip in high-purity alcohol (above 95%) to remove traces of moisture or residue, then rinse with distilled water and allow to dry before storage. Avoid touching the internal sensing surfaces to prevent damage and drift.

Handle the sensor as a precision electrochemical device - avoid exposure to harsh chemicals or mechanical shock. Dispose of damaged or end-of-life sensors in accordance with local electronic waste regulations.
