The Geiger Counter & Rate Meter is a fully portable, battery-operated radiation detection instrument designed for educational and laboratory use. Measurement Functions

Compatibility & Connectivity

The instrument includes a socket to connect a remote Geiger-Müller (GM) tube, compatible with the PA1885-050 IEC Tube Holder and Leads. This allows for flexible positioning of the GM tube and compatibility with accessories from earlier models.

An audible ‘click’ can be enabled or disabled to indicate each particle count, enhancing user feedback during operation. The instrument displays a ‘bAtt’ warning when battery levels are low without interrupting measurements, ensuring continuous data collection.

Powered by three standard AA (penlight) batteries, the device offers approximately 100 hours of operation. For extended usage, alkaline cells are recommended. Additionally, a socket at the end of the instrument allows connection to any standard 240V/12V AC or DC plug pack, regardless of polarity.
