This water still operates on 240 V, 50/60 Hz, single phase AC power and requires a 10 amp connection. Mains water requirements include a minimum flow rate of 90 litres per hour and a minimum pressure of 27 kPa (4 psi). The drain must be connected to a sink or outlet positioned below the still to allow efficient discharge.
Flexible installation options allow the water still to be wall, bench or shelf mounted, making it adaptable to a wide range of laboratory setups. The unit monitors the water level in any connected reservoir and automatically controls operation, turning the still on or off as the reservoir water level changes.
The distillate produced is pyrogen-free, with a pH ranging between 5.0 and 6.5 and a conductivity of approximately 2.0 μS/cm. The quality of the distillate may vary depending on the input water supply.
The pH and conductivity of distilled water may alter once exposed to the atmosphere due to carbon dioxide absorption, which is temperature-dependent. This change is normal and does not indicate reduced purity.
This water still produces 3 litres per hour of single-distilled water and is equipped with a feed water supply failure protection switch set at 12 psi.
